Marked for life. This little tattoo on Matt Thomas is easily one of the most exciting things to happen with my work! The deal still holds true. Check the January 7th update, or email me for info.

-Also, cum rags are back in stock! My future goal is to not be a total slacker on all this stuff, but sometimes life has other ideas about that. Your patience is much appreciated!

-What are you, some kind of fruit? Um...yah, actually...so come and say "hello."

-Want art? Get a tattoo. I'd like to announce an offer of sorts. A barter? A call for blood? A request for your undying slavish devotion? A little while ago someone approached me asking my permission to get a tattoo of one of my boy scout images. I was totally thrilled that someone liked what I was doing enough to want to carry it to the grave with them, and it got me thinking. While there has yet to be follow through on his part, I'm wondering if an incentive might do it. So here's my offer:

If you are interested in getting a tattoo of any of the images from my small folio, A Boy's Will, prove it. Get in touch with me, and I'll send you a clean, clear high-res. version of whatever image you've got your eyes on. Once you get the tattoo done, send me photo documentation (actual prints) of the process. In exchange, I will give you a free copy of the folio. Step up! Got any connections to tattoo shops? Spread the word. darylATdarylvocat.com

-Also, a few years ago I did some writing for a zine called Faggo, organized by one Kim Kinakin from Vancouver. It's been a long time coming, but the zine is now archived on his website. Queer and punk.

-Two new T-shirt designs to add to your collection! Lovely 3/4 sleeve shirts for all the sexy vegans out there and "children be gay" shirts for those of you seeking something a little more edgy. June 10, 2004

-A couple new patches are available. Get yours today! Have a look in the patches section for more information.

-Who knew so many of you read OUT magazine? Being on their Hot List has put me in touch with all kinds of nice people from across the world, even though no contact information was listed.

Just in case you missed what they had to say, or don't read OUT, here it is:

"It's clothing! No, It's propaganda! Wait, they're both right. With images of tattooed Boy Scouts wielding a skull-and-crossbones and catchy phrases like, 'Not gay as in happy, but queer as in fuck you.' Vocat's T-shirt line is anything but nice."

-If you live in Toronto you may want to check out the current issue of Xtra! (No. 512.) It includes their Ultimate Pride Guide 2004 which I had the pleasure of illustrating the cover for.

May 7, 2004

-I'm always asking myself, "What do I have in common with Halle Berry and Juneau, Alaska?" Looks like I can stop waiting to find out because all of us have made this year's Out Magazine Hot List. Take a peek and see what they have to say. Fear not, I, like this cover boy, and working on developing my 8 pack abs.

-A couple new links have just been added in the links section.

March 7, 2004

A while ago I did a T-shirt stencil printing workshop for a youth group. I thought I would make some guidelines that I wrote available here for people to check out.

March 1, 2004

-Be on the look out for some new goodies (including new T-shirt designs and revamped cum rags) to be popping up on this site very soon! Things with this project have been going better than I expected, so thanks to everyone who has been supporting my work! Over the past few months I've set up tables at events such as the Katalogue Zine Launch, Pussy Pen, and Trade Magazine and the Church of Craft Craft Fair. All went fairly well so if any of you out there in the Toronto area have an upcoming event you think it might be appropriate for me to have a table at I'd love to hear about it.

-If you'd like to see my goodies in person and are in the Toronto area give me a shout or stop by Uprising: Books Without Borders at 6 Kensington Avenue. It's a great volunteer run place that sells all sorts of interesting stuff.

-I will also have a table at the up-coming Fruit Market Zine Fair. It's a queer zine fair that made its debut last year with great success. Tables are still available. See the following note from Jon Pressick, the organizer of the event, for details:

FRUIT MARKET 2004

This event will coincide with FRUITION: a queer zine retrospective at Xtra's Gallery X during the month of April, with a reception Thursday April 15. For more information contact Jon Pressick at: trademag@hotmail.com

I've been a busy little beaver brewing up a bunch of goodies for y'all. The treats on this site are hand screen printed and bursting to be unleashed on the world.

If you like something on here drop me a line or shower me with riches. Better yet, take matters into your own hands and spread the good word yourself. Making propaganda is fun!! Tell your friends and enemies about this site, make a link to yours, get on yer soapboxes and scream it at the top of your lungs!

Keep your eyes open for more revolutionary zeal coming your way!!

Yours,
